What does a day out at a Copita event look like?

You’ll pick up your own limited edition clay tasting copita from which to sup. You’ll use this as a key to unlock free samples from all of the many tasting stands, where brand experts will be pouring their wares and chatting you through the history and production of these magical liquids.

You’ve got three and half hours - pace yourself. Maybe check out some of the fine retailers - pick up some cowboy boots? Definitely grab some hot food from the fine local street food stands, and definitely use your discount vouchers to purchase something special to take home from our official bottle shop operated by Drinkmonger.

Forget gin, rum or whisky, some of Meixco's hottest spirits are coming to the Briggait on April 27, with the Copita Mezcal and Tequila Festival returning after a successful first year, bringing over 80 artisanal agave-based spirits from some of the world's top producers.

Catering for both devotees and newcomers to agave spirits, the team behind Copita are promising an event that's a far cry from tequila slammers in a dive bar on a Friday evening, with the chance to learn about, try, taste and take home some of Mexico's most exciting products.

A massive mezcal and tequila festival is coming to Manchester this summer. The city will play host to its first-ever celebration of iconic Mexican spirits.

Following their successful stint in Glasgow, the Copita Mezcal and Tequila Festival will be taking place on Saturday 14 September at the Manchester Cathedral. The historic venue will be transformed into a massive agave spirits tasting floor, featuring over 100 varieties of premium tequilas and smoky mezcals from some of Mexico’s most renowned producers.
